Gritty power

at its finest

I’ve always dreamt of my own car. Like many others in my generation who share the same passion for cars, this dream started with movies and videogames. When I was really young I adored cars. So much so that there’s videos of me in my speed racer slippers pretending I was driving them around my living room growling my voice like an engine. When I was old enough, The Fast and Furious franchise and Forza games truly hooked me into the car scene. The idea of driving was exhilarating. It still is. Now after purchasing my first project car with my dad, I’m able to dig as deep as I want into how these machines actually work, creating an indescribable free feeling.

It’s this high octane feeling that I live for.

Riddled with parts and unfinished fixes from previous owners, we began to clean….. everything.

As 2022 came to an end, so did the cleanup. The first mandatory project was getting the engine running as smooth as possible. Over the next year, the entire top half of the engine was cleaned and valves ported; Installing new fuel injectors and modifying the cam shaft along the way.

Rust, Begone!

Inspired by Takumi’s Trueno from Initial D and a little luck, we sourced some genuine Watanabe wheels. This along with an imported Fujitsubo exhaust made all the difference, turning the 240Z our neighbors’ kid nicknamed “Fluffy” into a true machine.

Our top priority has always been safety while driving. This meant new seatbelts, servicing the suspension, and replacing any other parts that were outdated and broken down over the years the Z was sitting along with fixing the engine and maintaining it.

Carbs tuned and drip pan installed

Along with cleaning off any rust and taking preventative measures against the creation of more, some upgrades were long overdue…
